Bi-monthly newsletter (mailed in Jan, Mar, May, July, Sep, Nov) contains:

  • Useful websites and recommendations for must-have catalogues
  • Reminders of upcoming local garden events

Deluxe package:

  • All of the services in the basic package
  • Two one-hour additional consultations, based on the client's needs, such as:
    • Plant selection assistance (local or mailorder)
    • Customized container planting suggestions
    • Pond and water garden assistance
    • Hand tool recommendations and selection assistance
    • Soil sampling & fertilizer/amendment selection assistance
    • Other lawn/garden advice as needed

Home sellers/buyers package:

A two-hour visit to assist sellers in preparing their home for listing, or new buyers to become familiar with their new landscape and its needs.  (Attention realtors:  you can purchase this package for your buyers or sellers!)

  • Visual inspection to assess health of lawn and plants.
  • Customized, season-specific suggestions for existing planters or containers.
  • Identification of all trees, shrubs, and plants on the property.
  • Pruning, removal and/or replacement recommendations (if necessary)
  • Tips and ideas for enhancing entries and walkways witih plants, lighting, edging materials, mulch choices, etc.
  • Low-cost solutions homeowners can implement to maximize curb appeal.
  • Discussion to determine time and budget constraints, and identify short- and long-term priorities and goals.
  • Follow-up letter with action plan and recommendations.

 Additional services:

Availalable exclusively to current Garden Coach clients:  

  • Open house/sneak-peek prior to annual plant sale. Held in April, the plants include a choice selection of home-grown annuals, vegetables and herbs.
  • Contract growing. Orders are taken from November through early January, for specified varieties of annuals, vegetables, herbs, along with a limited selection of perennials.   Plants are hardened off and ready to set out by mid-April.
  • Additional consultations may be purchased in one-hour increments.
