Newsletters are mailed free to current Garden Coach clients in January, March, May, July, September and November.  Each issue is full of great tips, seasonal checklists, ideas and resources.  If you would like to receive the Garden Coach's newsletter, please send a note to me at info@gardencoach.com (the cost is $5 per year for non-clients.)

Here are excerpts from the September 2006 newsletter:

Checklist for September & October

    • Plant new trees, shrubs and perennials now.
    •  Take care of those lawn issues (fall renovating and putting down corn gluten meal)
    • Keep watering - your plants and lawn need an inch a week at least.
    • Keep the leaves raked up or mulched so they don't smother the lawn.
    • Harvest the last of the summer crops!
    • Plant pansies and spring-blooming bulbs (tulips, hyacinths, crocus & daffodils) for winter and early spring color & apply bulb fertilizer to new and existing bulb areas.
